An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Consulting Analyst professional based in Buenos Aires to play a key role in the growth of the Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) consulting and market research team for the Latin American, North American, and European markets. This position requires the candidate to help build our business practice by developing insightful strategic research, proactively supporting client engagements, business development, and team-building initiatives.
The ICT division of Frost & Sullivan provides organizations with up-to-date market intelligence that enables our clients to take advantage of the rapid pace of technology and business model evolution in global markets. Every company around the globe is impacted by ICT, and when combined with the power of Frost & Sullivan’s other vertical market practices, the ICT team provides clients with differentiated market intelligence that delivers both vendor and end-user insights for the global consulting and analysis market.
(The definitive position title and internal corporate level will be established through a sequence of interviews and assessments)
• Domain Expertise– Become a thought leader in the ICT team, delivering value via strategic research, client engagement, global press, and social media outreach.
• Intellectual Property and Strategic Evaluation – Develop actionable, strategic, insightful, up-to-date market intelligence based on primary and secondary market research on the technologies, and services that the ICT industry sells to the enterprise market.
• Business Development –Maintain business relationships with security ICT across Americas and Europe by regularly participating in briefings with security and working under the guidance of senior team members to conduct business needs analysis for Frost & Sullivan clients.
• Consulting Engagement – Proactively contribute to ICT consulting projects under the guidance of senior team members, demonstrate specialist knowledge in the ICT industry, and utilize defined research and analytical practices in a team-focused environment.
Qualifications
• The successful candidate will have an educational background in business, market research, economics, journalism, or technology with an enthusiastic curiosity about the critical role ICT plays in enabling business around the world. A proactive, methodical, and innovative – thinking outside the box – working practice is essential, with the ability to deliver accurate, high impact results in a fast-paced team-focused environment.
• A relevant university degree (BA, BS) in business marketing, market research, economics, journalism, or technology.
• The ability to research and write a coherent story in proper English about a topic is critical.
• A foundational understanding of consulting/research/investigative journalism methodologies and business modelling (primary/secondary research, coherent story development).
• A foundational understanding of the ICT industry, such as industry structure, operational practices, business functionalities, and competitive landscapes.
• Desire, curiosity, and enthusiasm to build your expertise in the ICT domain to become a respected thought leader in the eyes of global vendors.
• The ability to network to create new ICT vendor relationships and to proactively manage ongoing relationships to stay relevant to ICT vendors.
• Enthusiasm for supporting business development initiatives that benefit the entire team.
• An analytical thought process, with outstanding written and verbal communication skills and business level fluency in English.
• The desire to learn public presentation skills in front of an audience and a video camera.
• Confident enough to present your work to a group of peers or a client and defend your analysis in a calm and professional manner.
• A team player who views team collaboration as an important path to professional development.
